Leicester City defender Wesley Fofana has thanks Crystal Palace, keeper Vicente Guaita and the Premier League for for allowing him to break his Ramadan fast during the game against the Eagles.
During the month of Ramadan, many Muslims abstain from eating or drinking during daylight hours.
Monday's game between Leicester and Palace was paused after 30 minutes when Guaita kicked the ball out of play to allow Fofana and Palace defender Cheikhou Kouyate to take in some water and energy gels on the side of the pitch.
The arrangement was agreed upon pre-game in the captain's meeting.
"Just wanted to thank the Premier League as well as Crystal Palace, Vicente Guaita and all the Foxes for allowing me to break my fast tonight in the middle of the game," Fofana wrote on Twitter.
"That's what makes football wonderful."
