Sven Goran Eriksson says Leicester City were right to dump him.

The Swede took charge of the Foxes in October 2010, but was in the hot seat for little more than a year before he left the club.

Leicester come up against another one of the 73-year-old's former sides, Manchester City - with Eriksson having a very different view on how his time there came to an end.

Speaking to talkSPORT 2, he was asked how he felt about the two clubs and laughed: “Well, I was sacked from both of them!

“I think it was right that I was sacked from Leicester, because with the small budget we had to buy players, we bought wrongly.

“It was right.

“To be sacked from Manchester City at that time? No, that was not right. But that doesn't matter today. I'm not thinking about it. That's how I see it."
