Kota Kinabalu: The water supply problem experienced by consumers around Kota Kinabalu, especially in Bandar Sierra, Taman Rimba and Unversiti Apartment in Manggatal, was due to continuous disruption at the Telibong 1 Water Treatment Plant in Tamparuli.

Deputy Chief Minister Datuk Seri Bung Moktar Radin (pic) said the main cause was a power outage on April 6, which resulted in the plant not being able to function 100 per cent for three hours to supply clean water to the affected areas.
