Athletic Bilbao sporting director Rafa Alkorta says the success of their academy system is due to generating loyalty from the players as juniors.
Alkorta discusses the success of the Athletic Club's famed academy system, which includes over 160 affiliated local clubs, and how developing loyalty and ambition in their youth players has been key to their success. The football chief also touches on having to fight off scouts from home and abroad trying to poach their best young players away.
