Liverpool are stepping up their interest in Brighton midfielder Yves Bissouma.
The Telegraph says Liverpool see Bissouma as the ideal replacement for Gini Wijnaldum.
The Reds have identified the Mali international as a possible target this summer as they look to strengthen their midfield.
The report goes on to state that Liverpool see Bissouma as being capable of filling the shoes of Wijnaldum, who looks increasingly likely to leave on a free transfer at the end of the season.
Bissouma has been linked with Liverpool for quite some time, with Arsenal also said to be interested in the midfielder.
