Roma midfielder Javier Pastore has revealed he came close to joining Talleres in January.
Pastore hasn't played for Roma since May 2020 due to injury.
“My situation at Roma is a little complicated. We'll see what happens in June," Pastore told Mundo Deportivo.
“I have two years left in my contract, and I've spoken a lot with [Talleres President] Andres Fassi.
“He did everything possible to sign me in January, but it wasn't possible."
Pastore is a product of Talleres academy. He played there before joining Huracan in 2007.
“I desire to return, but I want to do it in the best conditions, feeling well and important.
“This is not the right moment, I haven't played for one year, and I don't have the right rhythm. Now I am feeling better. I want to put the injury behind me.
“I want to feel well to return where I want to play. Otherwise, I would not be useful."
