Tottenham chiefs are determined to make a move for Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers.

Spurs chairman Daniel Levy is trying to persuade the rest of his board that the Leicester manager is still a suitable candidate to lead the club, after they sacked Jose Mourinho last week, says The Sun.

Tottenham said they will then appointment a permanent manager in the summer, suggesting their target is already in a job at another club.

And Rodgers is their top target.

RB Leipzig's Julian Nagelsmann is also a top target and in the mix for the vacancy, but Bayern Munich are also keen on the German tactician.

Tottenham chairman Levy has been a long-time admirer of Rodgers after he tried to lure him to White Hart Lane in 2012 when he was in charge of Swansea.
