Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy will stand by manager Jose Mourinho next season.
The Daily Express says Levy has already reportedly decided that he will have to stick by Mourinho next season because it will cost too much to sack him. The Portuguese is under significant pressure at Spurs just over 18 months after replacing Mauricio Pochettino in the hot-seat in November 2019.
Mourinho had vowed to deliver silverware, something he could still achieve this season but as things stand, Tottenham appear to be going nowhere under his leadership.
On Sunday, they were beaten convincingly in the end by Manchester United who showed exactly why they are certainties to make the top-four, with Spurs on course to qualify for the Europa League.
Spurs still have the League Cup final on the horizon, while there is still brief hope they can finish in the Champions League spots.
It has previously been reported that Levy will pull the trigger should Mourinho fail to qualify for Europe's elite club competition.
