Former Real Madrid coach Jose Antonio Camacho has rejected criticism of president Florentino Perez.
Perez has been hammered for his role in the Super League breakaway.
"He was very brave when he went out to explain publicly what the Super League would be," Camacho explained.
"Everyone has made him responsible, but that responsibility should have been divided with 11 other presidents.
"It seems that all the fuss is charged against him."
UEFA appear to have got the outcome they wanted from this fiasco, however Camacho believes the threats they made to clubs has worsened their standing.
"UEFA is nobody to say that a player can't play for their national team," he added.
"It was a lack of respect and a serious error on their part.
"It's not logical for the teams to say they have signed something and then the next day, they say they were wrong, FIFA and UEFA have to understand each other."
