Kota Kinabalu: State Agriculture and Fishing Minister Datuk Dr Jeffrey Kitingan (pic) said the African Swine Fever (ASF) outbreak in Sabah is suspected to have originated from the Philippines, from infected pork or pork products brought into the State by illegal immigrants (Pati) from the country.

 “We don’t know for certain but we suspected it may have been ‘brought in’ by person(s) who go in and out from the Philippines.
