Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola is reviving his long-term interest in Benfica wing-back Alejandro Grimaldo.

Guardiola has considered bringing the former Barcelona B defender to City ever since he first took charge and is now being linked with the former Spain U21 international again.

Record says the 25 year-old is set to be transfer-listed by Benfica this summer as the Portuguese need several major sales to help balance the books.

And watching developments closely are City and Atletico Madrid.

Grimaldo has a contract with Benfica until 2023 with a buyout clause of €60m.
