The six Premier League clubs that have signed up for the European Super League have been warned they can't go back.

Manchester City, Manchester United, Chelsea, Liverpool, Tottenham and Arsenal have all agreed to take part in the breakaway league, much to the fury of their own supporters.

Real Madrid president and Super League chairman Florentino Perez has insisted that there is no way back now that deals have been agreed.

As part of an interview with Spanish outlet El Chiringuito, Perez said: "The contract of the Super League is binding. Nobody can leave, we will work all together.

“All the clubs signed the contracts last Saturday, there's no problem.

“We are doing this to save football at this critical moment.

"Audiences are decreasing and rights are decreasing and something had to be done. We are all ruined. Television has to change so we can adapt.

"Young people are no longer interested in football. Why not? Because there are a lot of poor quality games and they are not interested, they have other platforms on which to distract themselves."
