Weak earthquakes recorded in Ranau

RANAU: Two earthquakes of magnitude 2.8 and 2.7 occurred here, late Sunday night.

The first incident happened at 11.10pm, Sunday, 11 kilometres to the West of Ranau with a depth of 10 kilometres.

This was followed by another quake two hours later.

Ranau Fire and Rescue Chief Ridwan Mohd Taib said, at press time, the Department has yet to receive any public complaints about damages or injuries following the incidents.

He added, the Mountain Search and Rescue Unit (Mosar) said that there are no reports of damage or complaints from the Sabah Parks management or climbers.
