Harry Kane is prepared to leave Tottenham this summer.

The Athletic says the England captain is reportedly 'running out of patience' with the team's progress and is 'frustrated' by a lack of silverware.

If Spurs don't make it into Europe's elite competition for next season, Kane is willing to tell the club hierarchy he would like to move on, with Manchester City and Manchester United the most likely destinations.

But he's extracting himself from his six-year contract at Tottenham could prove incredibly difficult with chairman Daniel Levy likely to dig in his heels and demand a very high transfer fee.

They say that although Kane, 27, has the opportunity to win the first major trophy of his career when Spurs face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final on April 25, he feels his chances of winning the Premier League or the Champions League are receding.

For the first time in his Tottenham career, Kane is beginning to envisage his future elsewhere.
