Kudat barter prospects better with Kumpit move

Kota Kinabalu: The decision of the Sabah Government to allow kumpits in barter trade and transhipment activities effective March 5 between Sabah, Philippines, and Indonesia has heightened  for Kudat.

“The recent announcement of Chiwf Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor allowing wooden boats as mode of transportation for barter trade activities has rejuvinated the interest of Filipino traders and the business community in Kudat,” said Kudat BEBC Chairman Datuk James Lim.
