Chelsea are watching the progress of St Etienne teen Lucas Gourna-Douath.
The 17 year-old has been likened to Manchester United star Paul Pogba and has managed 25 appearances for ASSE this season - including ten starts.
PSG and AC Milan have been following Gourna-Douath this term.
However, Goal says Chelsea have now stepped in and begun making soundings about the youngster's situation.
Chelsea count on Kurt Zouma as a former ASSE player.
