Aston Villa striker Wesley will starr this afternoon against Wolves' under-23s at Bodymoor Heath.

The Brazilian was in match action for the first since rupturing his knee ligaments almost 15 months ago with a 45-minute display against West Bromwich Albion in an in-house friendly.

Speaking earlier, head coach Dean Smith said: "He was only meant to play 30 minutes (vs WBA last week) but played 45 which tells you he's in a better place than we expected. That was good for him and he'll play another 45 minutes today as well."

Mark Delaney's Young Lions host Wolves at Bodymoor Heath in today's Premier League 2 encounter with kick-off set for 3pm.

Wesley could partner in-form youngster Louie Barry in attack later while the likes of Carney Chukwuemeka and Kaine Kesler return after impressing during England duty last week.
