The 16-year-old was signed from Derby County in February.
Gordon earned high praise from Rams boss Wayne Rooney at the time.
And it has only taken him a few months to impress Jurgen Klopp.
According to the Liverpool Echo, the exciting winger has recently participated in first-team training.
Fellow youngsters Leighton Clarkson, Billy Koumetio and Owen Beck also joined in as Klopp's injury list continues to accumulate.
