Tottenham are missing Jan Vertonghen this season.
That's according to former Spurs defender Kevin Wimmer, who believes that his old side's defensive woes could be down to losing Benfica defender Vertonghen last summer.
The Austrian said: "For me, it's clear Jan Vertonghen is maybe sometimes a bit underestimated.
“But, for me, he's like the perfect centre-back.
“For me, it was clear he has more class than me and if he's fit he will go straight into the team and that's what happened."
