Oscar Grau has left his role as CEO of Barcelona.
Grau joined the club in September 2016 under Josep Maria Bartomeu but will not continue under new president Joan Laporta.
New CEO Ferran Reverter told Grau of the news on Tuesday after the decision was made at a meeting on Monday, with Pere Jansa, the director of the club's social ara, also let go.
Grau, a former handball player at Barça, is one of few ex-athletes to reach a position of such authority at the Catalan club.
In recent weeks, following Laporta's election in March, he had been working with Reverter, who cannot be officially appointed 'full time' until the end of June, when his role with MediaMarkt ends.
