Watford are ready to welcome back Ashley Young from Inter Milan.

Former Manchester United captain Young, 35, is poised to leave Inter Milan this summer when his contract expires.

Watford are ready to offer an initial 12-month deal if they secure promotion back to the Premier League, says the Daily Mail.

Xisco's men currently occupy the second automatic promotion spot in the Championship, seven points clear of third-placed Brentford with just five games to play.

Watford want to add top-flight experience to their squad if they can bounce straight back into the Premier League.

Young joined Watford as a 10-year-old and made 110 senior appearances before joining Aston Villa for £9.65million in 2007.
