MEMBAKUT: A joint community programme started last year in the district is making a positive impact on residents including those hit by the pandemic’s fallout, said a statement.The project, which started in September and completed on March 20 this year, was carried out by Kg Gana Membakut NGO Association in collaboration with youth volunteers and was sponsored by Hasanah Foundation. They handed food baskets and Kafa (Fardhu Ain Class) school aid near Azizurrahman Mosque in Kg Baru, Kimanis. The event was also attended by Bongawan Assemblyman Dr Daud Yusof.
At the same time, volunteers delivered food baskets and school equipment to Tabika Kemas Kg Gana and Kafa school in Kg Baru as well as to Kg Gana residents affected by the pandemic, Movement Control Order 2.0 and recent floods. The Kg Gana community hall and Kafa school toilets were also repaired for use by villagers.
