Crystal Palace have been rocked after Nathan Ferguson tore his achilles in training - just days after Ebere Eze had suffered a similar injury.
Ferguson has not played a game for Palace since his arrival in July 2020, having arrived with a knee injury from West Brom and since suffered a series of niggling injuries that have kept him away from the pitch.
The Daily Mail says Ferguson has now joined Eze (above) on the treatment table after tearing his achilles tendon on Saturday, and is expected to be out for the majority of the year.
It has been reported that the former West Brom defender's injury is not quite as bad as his team-mate's, with Ferguson hopeful of returning by the end of 2021, while Eze is set to be out until February.
It is a cruel blow for two of Palace's brightest young stars, who are just 20 and 22 respectively, with the pair both set for huge futures under a new manager at Selhurst Park.
