Brighton boss Graham Potter says their goal is becoming a top ten regular.

Potter has steered Brighton to safety with increasing assurance after two years in charge.

He said: "The stretch goal is to establish us as a top 10 club.

"It's not necessarily about being a top 10 team because you can be a top 10 team and then get relegated the next year.

"It's about sustainable improvement, improvement at a level that means we are consistently in the top 10 of the Premier League."

He added: "Everything takes time. Football is determined by finance. 95% of the leagues are determined by finance, so you have to decide 'okay if you want to be that 5% that breaks the system, how do you do it?'

"Maybe I'm a bit of a romantic about that, but that's what I believe and that's why I'm doing the job. Anything is possible in football.

"You must dream and you think be able to say 'we could be one of that 5% and we can have ambition, why not?

"Money doesn't necessarily guarantee everything. We've taken points from Manchester City from Tottenham from Arsenal from the teams that historically are not so easy to beat.

"All we have to do is keep improving so that we can get a consistent level of results. That's the bit a little bit missing at the moment."
