Everton are locked in talks about a Bosman deal with Manchester City striker Sergio Aguero.
The Daily Star says several top clubs are in the race to land Aguero on a free transfer after it was confirmed he will depart the Etihad Stadium.
The Toffees have now become the latest name to enter the race along with Chelsea, Tottenham, Leeds, Barcelona and Inter Milan.
Aguero is currently on £240,000 a week - a figure Everton could not match - but they have informed his advisors they will bridge any shortfall with a hefty signing on fee.
The 32-year-old is now facing a big decision over his future and whether he wants to remain in the Premier League or head elsewhere.
