Tenom: The State Government has provided food assistance to more than 500 families, involving some 4,000 people, who were affected by floods in the district.
Community Development and People’s Wellbeing Minister Shahelmey Yahya said apart from providing food assistance, two Sabah Air helicopters had been deployed to assist in the evacuation of flood victims in the district and Beaufort.
