The son of former Real Madrid and Tottenham star Rafael van der Vaart has joined Esbjerg.
Damien van der Vaart, 15, is an attacking midfielder and moves to Denmark from Germany's Victoria Hamburg.
"Damian van der Vaart has a really good understanding of the game and an overview of the field, and we look forward to developing it further in the coming years," says Esbjerg manager Lars Vind.
"With his dynamics, Damian is also good at launching his teammates, and fits in really well with our playing style.
"So we are happy to have made a long-term agreement with him."
