The son of George Best had no problem with protesting Manchester United fans climbing on his father's statue during the anti-Glazer demonstrations.
Calum Best believes his father would be in support of the protests.
"I was watching fans protest and a lot of them were up on the statue and I was like, 'wait, hold on'," Calum told the Manchester Evening News. "But then I thought, United is built on its fans and they hold him in such high regard and with such pride, it's not about them being on the statue, it's about them saying, 'we want our club back'.
"So I fully respected it and I backed them. Having his statue is pretty damn special. I think my dad will be behind the fans all the way. He was United through and through. He was an edgy man, he liked to break the rules a bit to a certain extent."
