Liverpool fullback Andrew Robertson admits they've failed to take advantage on recent slip-ups by their rivals in the race for Champions League qualification.

While Jurgen Klopp's side returned to winning ways against Southampton on Saturday night, Robertson insists there is no more margin for error with Champions League qualification at stake.

"It's not that the door's been closed, it's that when the door's been open we haven't walked through it," the Scot told Sky Sports of Liverpool's recent stumbles in the top four race.

"People have dropped points and then we've dropped points as well, which when you're in the chasing pack can't really happen.

"So it's out of our hands. If Leicester win all their games then we can't catch them.

"But when [the other teams] do slip up, we need to be there to capitalise on that. We've not been good enough on that so far this season. We can't have any more slip-ups."
