Harry Kane intended the lap of honour after the defeat to Aston Villa as a farewell to Tottenham fans.

After Tottenham last home game of the season - a 2-1 defeat to Aston Villa - Kane gave a lap of honour to the supporters, a gesture which appeared to be an emotional farewell to the fans who have come to worship him.

Interim boss Ryan Mason stressed that it was not a goodbye, but the Mirror says Kane did intend it as a farewell and believes he has definitely played his final home game and that he will get his move.

Kane, who has also been linked with Chelsea, Real Madrid and Manchester United, has since claimed chairman Daniel Levy could sell him for £100m' and said he hoped he could have a "good honest conversation" with the club supremo.
