Chelsea striker Olivier Groud was delighted for the fans after winning the Champions League.

Giroud says victory over Manchester City was made all the more special with fans in attendance in Porto.

He told RMC: “It's extraordinary, we had a remarkable journey, we eliminated very big ones like Real, Atlético. Porto was not easy either. We played against a great City team, it didn't play out much, but it was in the details.

"The most beautiful competition is a childhood dream. I had the chance to score a few goals this year, having played three starting games. It is a great pride, I would like to take advantage of every moment. It's rare, it's a treat.

"Football is extraordinary, especially when there are fans in the stadiums. Matches without an audience should be banned…"
