Newcastle United are targeting Chelsea pair Tammy Abraham and Billy Gilmour.

The Northern Echo says Magpies boss Steve Bruce is likely to be working on a limited budget this summer as he bids to improve on their 12th-place finish this season.

As a result of this Newcastle have enquired to Chelsea about the availability of both Abraham and Gilmour on loan.

However, the newly-crowned European champions are reluctant to do business at present - although Newcastle hope their stance could change further into the summer window.

At present, Chelsea have no desire to loan out Gilmour. Manager Thomas Tuchel stopped the 19-year-old going out on loan during the January window and is keen to develop him at Stamford Bridge.

Abraham's situation is more difficult as the west London outfit are looking to sell him after he became distinctly out of favour under Tuchel.
