Sheffield United boss Paul Heckingbottom explained handing Daniel Jebbison his chance against Everton last night.
Jebbison struck to prove the matchwinner.
Later, Heckingbottom said: "Could not have worked out better for him.
"Deserved his start, we know him well he has developed quickly in a short space of time but he works so hard for the team and that's what made me change my mind and pick him
"I believe in him. He's 17 and a young lad and will have ups and downs
"Great start, everyone will be talking about him but he's not a player until he's played 100 league games.
"One of few young players we are really pleased with at the minute."
