Arsenal chief Edu is considering a shock move to bring back Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain from Liverpool.
Edu sees Oxlade-Chamberlain as an alternative to on-loan Real Madrid midfielder Martin Odegaard.
The Daily Express says the north London club could solve their creative problem by pursuing a move for Oxlade-Chamberlain, who is keen to seek a new challenge after three-and-a-half years at Liverpool.
The Portsmouth-born utility man, who is more than capable of playing in the middle as well as on either flank, has endured a tough time at the Anfield club thanks to a number of debilitating injury setbacks and a subsequent lack of first-team action when fit.
He has failed to hold down a spot in Jurgen Klopp's side ahead of Georginio Wijnaldum and Thiago Alcantara, and could be available for as little as £20million this summer with Borussia Dortmund said to be weighing up a move for his services.
