Lucas Vazquez is a step away from signing a new deal with Real Madrid.
That's according to Okdiario's chief pundit Eduardo Inda, while speaking on El Chiringuito.
The experienced midfielder's contract is due to expire in June and he has fielded interest from across Europe.
"I said a long time ago that at the club they did not really want to renew him, but it was before his boom," stated Inda.
"Lucas Vázquez is an exemplary person and highly appreciated both by the dressing room and by (coach Zinedine) Zidane.
"Lucas would now be about to accept the offer that Real Madrid has put to him. He had three or four offers from England. Lucas has had an exceptional season and the club is going to make a sensible effort."
