West Ham face losing on-loan Manchester United midfielder Jesse Lingard this summer.
The Athletic reports West Ham are trailing in the hunt to sign Lingard from United on a permanent basis this summer.
The England international is likely to have suitors that can offer him Champions League football next term, while the Hammers would also struggle to meet his £30m valuation.
It has been suggested that that Lingard could be used as makeweight in a deal bringing Declan Rice to Old Trafford.
The midfielder's form has brought back into contention for England's Euros squad this summer.
