Everton boss Carlo Ancelotti has explained the reasons for James Rodriguez missing their win over Wolves.
The Toffees broke a run of poor results by defeating Wolves 1-0 at home on Wednesday thanks to a Richarlison goal.
Speaking before the match about his team selection, Ancelotti confirmed that fatigue meant Rodriguez missed out on a place in the team.
Ancelotti said, per the Liverpool Echo: "James is out because he was a little bit tired.
"He didn't play, he was out, then he played against Sheffield, we prefer not to take a risk."
