Villarreal coach Unai Emery is proud to have led the club to the Europa League final against Manchester United.
Emery broke down the attributes which have led his team all the way to the Europa League final this season.
"We are very proud of the journey we have made this year in the Europa League," said Emery.
"For the consistency, credibility, seriousness and for giving something special to this competition.
"It has given us the reward for giving each game the necessary importance, using different resources in the squad that has made us reach this final with the pride, satisfaction and joy of deserving it.
"And just as we have respected all the rivals, we respect United.
"We consider ourselves capable of being able to deserve [the trophy]. Now that adaptation has to be aimed at the single game and we are going to do it. We are going to play with the confidence with which we have done until now."
Three Premier League sides have made it all the way to the European finals and Emery believes that the English teams are making a statement in continental football.
"The English league dominates football in Europe," said Emery.
"In order to reach a final, you have to eliminate important teams or play with teams that have eliminated important teams such as Dinamo Zagreb.
"In these last three games against important rivals [Sevilla, Real Madrid and Manchester United] it is a challenge to see the team at what level they are.
"Sevilla made life difficult for half an hour and we are going to find that difficulty now.
"Everything will depend on our ability to respond and on our mental level in the game."
