Kota Kinabalu: The Zakat Centre and Baitulmal as well as the relevant welfare agencies in Sabah are urged to be more proactive in their services by facilitating the process of any application for assistance made by the needy.
Sabah Islamic Welfare Organisation (Perkis) President, Datuk Seri Lajim Ukin, said bureaucratic practices should also be avoided because it clearly makes it difficult for those concerned who are already in a difficult situation.
