Celtic were thrashed by Rangers in the Old Firm Derby on Sunday.
In attendance, according to the Daily Record, were scouts from Newcastle, looking at Ajer.
The stopper has been linked with Newcastle for much of the season, while he has also been linked with AC Milan.
