Former Chelsea manager Frank Lampard could be set to join Crystal Palace as their new boss.

Rumours of Lampard being an option for Palace to replace Roy Hodgson have been going around in the English press for weeks.

According to respected transfer expert Fabrizio Romano, Palace are in contact with Lampard and his agent regarding the manager's job.

Romano says the talks are progressing positively, and that Lampard may already have identified his first Palace signing.

The report suggests Lampard wishes to sign Slavia Praga star Abdallah Sima.

Sima has been linked with Manchester United, Arsenal and West Ham United.
