Liverpool legend Graeme Souness has branded Jurgen Klopp's players as poor champions.
Souness was speaking today ahead of Liverpool's clash at Manchester United.
He said: “100 percent correct in saying they've not been good champions, they've not responded.
“Everyone gets injuries to key players at the wrong time, so for Liverpool spending nearly all the season without Van Dijk, the other guys you thought were good players have not responded very well.
“I'm afraid they need to have a close and hard look at themselves. If you were to ask that group one by one whether they've had a good year, I think only maybe Mo Salah could put his hands up, he's got the goals again. The rest of them have to have a close look at themselves."
