Borussia Dortmund are huge admirers of Aston Villa youngster Carney Chukwuemeka.
The 17-year-old recently broke into the Villa first team, and is already attracting interest from bigger clubs.
A report from Sport Bild indicates Dortmund want to replicate the success of Jude Bellingham, who arrived from Birmingham City last summer.
Bellingham has starred in the Bundesliga and Champions League this term.
Dortmund believe they can elevate Chukwuemeka in a similar way in the next 12 to 24 months.
Any deal would require BVB to pay a roughly €15 million transfer fee.
