Xavi is set to sign a new deal with Al Sadd.
The Barcelona great will commit to the Qataris to June 2023.
However, AS says the contract will also include a 'Barca clause' which will allow Xavi to leave for his former club without a fee needed to break the agreement.
The former Spain midfielder is due to put pen to paper this week.
Xavi led Al Sadd to the Qatari title last season.
