While insisting his team has improved this season, finishing the campaign trophyless means it hasn't been a successful year for United.
Solskjaer also considered the defeat to Villarreal and admits they didn't create enough as they drew 1-1 in Gdansk before the final was taken to a marathon penalty shootout.
