Eddie Newton has heaped praise on Chelsea midfielder Mason Mount.
The former Blues assistant coach also compared the 22-year-old midfielder to Kevin De Bruyne.
"You know who reminds me of De Bruyne? Mount," Newton told the Athletic. "He's not as blunt as him but Mount has this steely belief in himself.
"He is a driven young man. He goes about things in a slightly different way. He smiles and everyone thinks he's just a lovely kid, but that guy has an edge to him when he needs it. He couldn't get to this level if he didn't."
The England international was named Chelsea Player of the Year and also selected for the Three Lions' provisional squad for Euro 2020 after another impressive season.
"I knew this kid had a future," Newton continued. "What a lot of people don't understand is that having talent is one thing, but if you don't have the mentality and drive, it can only take you so far."
