Aston Villa goalscorer Ollie Watkins says they deserved their 2-1 win at Everton.
Watkins and Anwar El Ghazi struck on Saturday.
He later said, "I thought we were really good today. Our build-up from the back was better than usual, we've been working on that this week. We were looking to get up the pitch gradually rather than going too gung-ho.
"Running in behind is one of my strengths, the timing of the long balls. That's where I come into the game and can create chances from there. We did that really well today. I think we could have got a few more actually.
"I've got to take every game as it comes and focus on my club form."
