Manchester United Under-23s coach Neil Wood Wood expects youngsters Isak Hansen-Aaroen and Charlie McNeill to push on to the Under-23 squad next season.
The duo spent most of the season with the club's Under-18 side, but were involved in the Under-23s season finale against Derby County.
Wood knows the goal at United is to get players ready for the first team, and he expects quality youngsters such as McNeill and Hansen-Aaroen to step up with the Under-23s.
"Next season is going to be challenging from the start," he told reporters at Leigh Sports Village after a 3-1 loss to Derby, per the Manchester Evening News.
"A small core group of about 10 to 12 guys. They'll be stretched.
"The likes of McNeill, Isak, they can be stretched and pushed up."
