England coach Gareth Southgate has praised Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola for his management of Phil Foden.
Foden has been named in England's preliminary Euros squad.
"I doubt he is peaking right now, which is incredibly exciting. He's had a fantastic season," said Southgate.
"I guess we all sat and wondered, 'will he get his chance' and 'will it be the right way?', and you have to say that Pep has done incredibly well. He has allowed him to develop and given him time to become a little physically stronger.
"We have always known that the ability is there. He (Pep) plays him (Foden) more often on the edge or as a ten instead of an eight, so it is interesting to observe from the outside. But what impressed most was his willingness to score. It's not just about creating."
