Brighton boss Graham Potter is eager to secure Danny Welbeck to a new deal.
Welbeck has scored six goals for Brighton this season and manager Potter says the 30-year-old will remain with the club next season.
"Danny has done enough to earn a new contract," said Potter.
"We have had to focus on finishing the season as strongly as we can.
"We're happy with what he's done – I know he can keep improving and show more."
